run by Bill & Gertrude Wax

     & the simple grey matches

     with the symbol of the

     Strategic Air Command

     a mailed fist

     emblazoned there

     over the brown strip

     where you light the matches

On the other side

of the Astoria Matches

     DANCING -- BOWLING ALLEYS -- CINEMAS

All in silver lettering

on glossy paper, creme, exquisite

flexible cardboard

     & in the middle of the little book

     a line drawing

     vision of the eternal rich

     women dressed to kill

     on their way to some exclusive shop

     seeing what's on sale at the jewelers
