My dreams are full of physical complexity
Museums with apartments inside them
Office complexes with hardware stores
Parking in front and in back
Vendors who couldn’t provide packaging
But who can now, at a reasonable price
Then I wake up, and consciousness of
A different sort intrudes
The first thing I notice is the high ringing sound
In my ear, it’s always a surprise
To find it there again, hello old friend
I acknowledge its presence, then I get up
And I continue
