Cool stars send us light

from years ago.  Plants

wave their leaves so slowly

we can't see them move.

On the dark screen there

is a sudden flash.  Leaves

blow aside & lids open.

Ashes fly into eyes.

Leaves wave across the

screen.  Ashes are taken

up into the wind as stars

blink like eyelids.

Eyelids close as glass

stars fly across

the screen like leaf

ashes in the wind.

A cool flash & the screen

turns to ashes.  Suddenly

leaves appear behind the

glass & the stars darken
